Restoration example - Shanbally Castle
Built for Cornelius O'Callaghan, first Viscount Lismore, in about 1810, the mansion was the largest house built in Ireland by the famous English architect, John Nash. The sugary marble presented us with a huge challenge. We had to first strengthen the marble and then carry out repairs to the surface. We have sourced the same type of Italian Statuary marble and masterfully matched it in.
